Matsu Kaze Tea was established in 2011 as an online tea shop and later began selling tea wholesale. Matsu Kaze’s teas are carefully selected top quality green teas and all teas are packaged in Japan and shipped by air to ensure freshness. Similar to wine, different regions produce different qualities of tea. Unlike many Japanese teas that are sold, Matsu Kaze doesn’t sell blended teas from different regions, because they want to preserve the pure experience of the teas.
The Japanese teas are imported directly from tea farmers and/or tea regions in Japan such as Shizuoka, Mie, Fukuoka and Kagoshima prefectures. Currently Matsu Kaze carries 24 kinds of tea from Japan.
We reached out to Matsu Kaze because we want to provide the best Japanese tea available. From there, we wanted to take it a step further and create our own products with their high-quality teas.
OMO is the first in Canada in introduce nitro-tea. This nitrogen infused tea is similar to nitro coffee, the tea is pressurized in a canister of nitrogen gas before being served. The effects are delicious – trust us! The gas makes the tea naturally sweeter, and adds little bubbles, giving it a silky texture.
RECIPES FROM MATSU KAZE – Green Tea Sauce for Ice Cream
- Mix 1~1.5 tsp of cooking matcha with 2-3 tsp warm water in a small bowl– if you have a Chasen (a bamboo whisk), please use it to mix the powdered matcha and warm water. Then, the unsweetened matcha green tea sauce is ready – so simple.
- Serve some vanilla ice cream in a bowl / glass / plate, and set the matcha sauce and some Maple syrup
- Pour the matcha green tea sauce over the ice cream
